Royal Enfield Meteor shuts off when I let off the throttle

My Royal Enfield Meteor suddenly died when I let off the throttle, so it starts only if I keep it twisted, it runs fine with throttle, but shuts down when released and one's gotta constantly rev it...anyways I sent it to the service center, they said they'll check. what should I expect?

It sounds like it could be an issue with the throttle cable or free play adjustment. If by push the throttle, you mean twisting it open, it might not be engaging properly when you release it. Its worth having the service center check the cable tension and ensure theres enough free play. That could fix the stalling issue when you let go of the throttle.

Had something similar happen with my Meteor last year, it turned out to be a clogged idle jet. It would run only with throttle, just like yours, the service center cleaned out the throttle body and checked the sensors, and it was smooth again

Thanks, I'll ask them to check the cable tension and free play, let see if it's just a quick adjustment

sounds exactly like what mine's doing

Probably an idle or fuel delivery issue, common are a clogged idle jet, dirty carburetor (if carbureted) or a throttle body/idle air control problem if its fuel-injected.
