Just had the 500 km service for my Himalayan. The fuel economy's been superb and I'm mostly in ECO mode.
Filled the tank near the dealer and the low fuel light popped on around 350 km so I filled up at 375 km and calculated 3.2 L per 100km which is around 73.5 mpg!

Anyone else wrestle with their fuel cap though? Seems like it wants to close while I'm trying to fill up. definitely a two handed job! Guess I'll get the hang of it.

It's got great fuel economy I'll give you that. 3.2L/100km is just fantastic although I had to convert to miles lol. But yeah the fuel cap is quite awkward. I don't know any way to solve that.

That's awesome mileage, I love hearing numbers like that and yeah, the fuel cap dance is real, took me a few fill ups to figure out the sweet spot where it stays open without snapping shut on me. part of its quirky charm, I guess

Excellent fuel efficiency, particularly in ECO mode, with 3.2 L/100 km

Because of the back pressure created by the built-in purge valve, which causes it to resist closure during refueling, the fuel cap problem is prevalent on the Himalayan. It frequently takes two hands to close correctly. Filling only to the recommended level helps prevent fuel leaks around the cap, which can also occur from overfilling

You will become accustomed to the cap's behavior with practice
