Are Royal Enfields still made in India?

I work at a biker dealership locally and was asked today by a client where their new Meteor was actually built. I know Royal Enfield has plants in India, but are they still the main production sites? Or are the newer models being assembled elsewhere now? I also wasn't sure who technically owns the brand today. Is it still Eicher Motors? Just wanna know how to answer these strange quesitons.

Yep, Royal Enfields are still mainly built in India and Eicher Motors still owns the brand. Some assembly happens abroad, but India remains the core production site for all models

Royal Enfields, including the new Meteor, are indeed largely built in India, which remains their manufacturing heartland. Eicher Motors still holds the reins there, so you are good to go answering those client questions straight.

Appreciate the clarification! I was aware that the Meteor was produced in India, but I didn't realize that Royal Enfield had spread their production out to such an extent
