I recently fell down a rabbit hole reading about the diesel motorcycle Royal Enfield sold in parts of India years ago. They're not winning any drag races, these things are slow, shaky, and sound like a tractor with a hangover but man, are they fascinating. Built like tanks and capable of sipping fuel like it's fine whiskey, they're a unique blend of old-school charm and utility.
What really caught my imagination was the idea of running one on homemade biodiesel. There's something incredibly satisfying (and a little rebellious) about riding a bike that smells faintly of french fries and tells oil companies to take a hike. Anyone here ever ridden or owned one? Would love to hear your stories
